I have seen Iris Dement live several times, including on “The Mountain Stage”.   One of those appearances was when I took my mother and a family friend to the show,  about 4 hours from my home.

One of the songs done that evening was an excellent version of “The Long Black Veil” everyone did to close the show.  I have checked from time-to-time to get that song, as it was not a part of the broadcast version.

Recently, I went to the official web site and discovered their podcast Digital Archives Project; an effort to make available over 800 shows in digital format.  They are releasing the shows on podcast and need additional help in funding the project.  I sent them a small donation for the project and I encourage you to also contribute.
