Training Bike?

Training Bike

This brought back some memories of my father teaching me to ride when I was about 6 years old. I remember my dad behind me holding onto the seat… and I thought he was still there holding me up. I had gone about a block before I looked back… and saw him walking into the yard. I made a turn in the road to head back to where he was… and I had to stop at the curb… started to tumble over and caught myself on the curb/grass. One of my earliest clear memories is fishing with him. We were at the river near the dam. The shore there is very large rocks. The water right at the edge flows back under the rocks. It started to rain — a light rain — and he set me back under a rock so I wouldn’t get wet. I can still remember looking down under me and seeing the water rolling back under me… and watching a bluegill swimming around under the rocks. I still can picture him standing in the misty rain, on a rock at the water’s edge enjoying the fishing. I couldn’t have been more than 4 or 5. He’s been gone 24 years now. He was a good man. It just occurred to me as I was writing this…. today (29th) was his birthday.

Settings and New Bloggers

Well…. was just finally getting around to making the necessary changes to the settings for my blog.  Now I’m sitting here waiting to go to my next appointment.  I introduced AlaskaMoe — http://alaskamoe.blogspot.com — to the blogging here and she has started her "Life In Alaska" blog this morning.

Fisher Becoming Internationally Famous

Fisher is getting internationally famous, a sort of “greatest hits” album is being released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Here’s the German site promoting the release.

***Update 08/13/2014***
Due to the unprofessional, rude, and hateful behavior directed at me from both Kathy and Ron, I have decided I will no longer recommend them, nor purchase any more of their music.

You do what you feel comfortable with; just as I am.

Fisher The Band

And while I’m on the subject of music, you **must** give Fisher at least a listen. I predict that once you do, you will be a new fan. I have been listening to their music since I first heard “I Will Love You” online. It’s likely that you have heard them if you have watched any TV or movies at all in the last few years. Their new album is arriving in stores and online on April 26th. I have met them and they are nice people who deserve to get that big break. I hope this will be the one. Give them a try.

Anna Nalick

I **really** like this new artist I found. I first heard her song “Wreck of The Day” on the TV show “Joan of Arcadia”. Then I happened across her song “Breath (2 AM)” on I-Tunes while cashing in some free songs. I highly recommend that you check her out.
