As I expected, I haven’t been contacted about the reckless driver I wrote about a few posts ago. I am sure that I could have done a citizen’s arrest on this person.  As I recall, the law states that a person can make a citizen’s arrest in a felony or in a misdemeanor that causes a “breach of the peace”; meaning that it is putting others at immediate risk. I recall that it was a drunken driving arrest that was in the court decisions I read.  I’ll have to find the laws again, print them out, and keep a copy with me so that the officers will at least listen to me when I tell them.  Cops too often don’t want to listen to you and want to simply be in control no matter what you tell them.

When I find the info again, I’ll post an update on what I find out.
